Upper Management Tips from Roman Emperors

How has Triumvirate Holdings, an organization comprised of three Roman god-Emperors, maintained its sweeping influence over mankind, and anything else watching? Great leadership! Obviously. But also, ABSOLUTE leadership. It’s an ancient business buzz word that Caligula and Commodus, two-thirds of the board, make good on every day of the work week. And here are their tips for you!

There’s power in personal branding

Commodus says “Don’t be afraid of naming cities or even countries after yourself. For example, doesn’t Commodianapolis just roll off the tongue?

Stay mobile

Caligula says “A fleet of yachts is not only an opulent symbol of power, it is also highly practical. Say you have to execute a nosy demigod in San Francisco on a Tuesday, but you have a shareholder’s meeting in Santa Monica on Thursday . . .”

Rules are meant to be broken

Commodus says “I was once told I couldn’t train ostriches for combat purposes, and look at me now! Look at me now, Father! Are you happy now, Father?!”

Shoot for the stars, particularly the sun

Caligula says “Never accept your lot in life if it was given to you unfairly. If you were born as a mortal and executed by your own guards, for instance, come back as a god. Still not enough? Upgrade to a more potent god by killing one who is struggling to regain his power.”
